Create a straightforward invoice for a client, customer, or project without opening an accounting platform. Add your business and client details, enter a line item, quantity, unit price, and tax rate, then review the totals before printing or saving the invoice as a PDF. This tool is best for simple one-off invoices; keep your own records and add any registration numbers, payment terms, or legal details required for your business.

Create a straightforward invoice in your browser

Use the invoice generator to assemble line items, quantities, prices, tax, and totals, then print the result or save it as a PDF from your browser. It is intended for simple invoices where you want a clean document without creating an account.

What a useful invoice should communicate

An invoice should make it easy for the customer to answer five questions: who is charging them, what they bought, how much they owe, when payment is due, and how to pay. Extra decoration matters less than clarity.

Invoice numbers and dates

Use a unique invoice number so both you and the customer can refer to the same document. A simple sequence such as 2026-001, 2026-002, and so on is easier to reconcile than reusing names like “final invoice.”

Line items should be specific

Instead of “services,” describe the work at a level the customer will recognize, such as “Website maintenance — September” or “Logo design — final package.” Clear line items reduce payment questions later.

Taxes and legal requirements

Invoice requirements and tax-registration details vary by country, province, state, and business type. If you are required to show registration numbers, tax breakdowns, legal business names, or specific disclosures, add them before sending the invoice.

Privacy and record keeping

The generator is designed for convenience, not as an accounting database. Save your final PDF and keep your own records. Do not rely on the browser page as the only copy of an invoice you may need later.

Frequently asked questions

Is an invoice the same as a receipt?

No. An invoice requests payment; a receipt normally confirms that payment has already been received.

Can I use this for recurring billing?

You can generate individual invoices, but it does not manage subscriptions, automatic reminders, or payment collection.
